Some people seem to learn languages so naturally, while others experience a kind of “click”, where everything comes together, much later. Working with so many people has allowed me to explore this process and adapt the way I teach to suit the individual.

Some feel a connection between language and music, others understand it more like mathematics. A number of very disciplined individuals I’ve worked with, who previously thought they had no “talent” for languages, discovered an “athletic” approach, treating language learning like a sport.

Once this happens, we come to enjoy even repetitive exercises (which are sometimes necessary), as we gradually see, hear and feel our skills improve.
